About My Work

While between projects, I was asked by a friend to review a small business website built with a lesser-known no-code platform by her family member. The site suffered from poor design, typos, inconsistent information, and disorganization.

Seeing an opportunity to both gain experience and deliver real value, I offered to rebuild it from the ground up. Using Next.js and TailwindCSS, I created a modern, responsive site with a clean design and clear structure. This project also marked my first implementation of a shopping cart and Stripe checkout integration, expanding my expertise in e-commerce development.

Accomplishments

• Implemented the Stripe API to list products to add to a shopping cart.
• Designed the website with a modern Japanese design, using red colors, cherry blossoms, and Japanese photography backgrounds to create an immersive browsing experience.
• Implemented the Resend API to send confirmation emails to both customers and the business owner.
